I am the founder and president of Turner Educational Advising, LLC, an educational consulting firm specializing in college and law school admissions and professional development.  I also served as the Senior Manager of Pre-Law and Professional Development Programs at Georgetown University in Washington, DC for almost a decade.  

As an attorney with private practice and in-house experience, I received my JD from Boston University School of Law, where I was a Paul J. Liacos Scholar. I received my BA in history from the University of Pennsylvania, and was a member of Penn’s Alumni Interview Committee for more than 15 years.  I have presented extensively - both nationally and internationally - on the topics of admissions advising, essay writing and professional development. In fact, I have given more than 100 presentations on the topic of essay writing alone and have also been featured in U.S. News & World Report and Parents.com. I served on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors, where I taught the intensive, two-day new advisor training for two years and co-chaired the 2014 annual conference. I remain an active member of NAPLA and am an active member of the DC Bar. Finally, I am a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) with specialty designations in college and law school advising, a member of the Higher Educational Consultants Association (HECA) and serve on the Business Partners Committee, and a member of the Potomac & Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC) where I serve on the Current Trends/Future Issues Committee.
